Leinster
School Senior Rugby Cup (29th January 2009)
St
Gerard’s School 0 Belvedere College 19
Many
congratulations to Belvedere College on their win in the Senior
Cup and we wish them every success in the quarter final against
Gonzaga.
This
was another excellent performance from our Senior Team who
were most unfortunate to receive injuries to key players at
key times during the match.
The
above score does not reflect the match and the performance
of our players.
This
is an excellent Senior Cup Team who are in the Leinster Senior
League final and we look forward with great confidence to
the final in two to three weeks time.
Many
thanks to Mr Joe McDonnell, Mr Tony Ward, Mr Damien Hall &
Mr Michaél Mc Mullen for their outstanding contribution
to this team.
Tennis
News (30th January 2009)
Many
congratulations to Alan Gleeson of 3rd Year who has been selected
to play for Ireland in the Winter Cup in Norway From 12th
– 16th February 2009.
Alan
is currently seeded the number 1 Under 16 Player in Ireland.
This is an exceptional achievement and we wish Alan all the
best in Norway.

LUCK TO THE JUNIOR 1 HOCKEY TEAM WHO NARROWLY LOST 1-0 TO
LORETO FOXROCK IN THEIR CUP MATCH. IT WAS A HARD FOUGHT GAME
IN TERRIBLE CONDITIONS. THEY PUT UP A FANTASTIC 2ND HALF PERFORMANCE.

FOR THE QUALIFYING LEAGUE MATCH. THEY LOST 1-0. MANY THANKS

to Sheena Walker, 5th Year,Who has been appointed to the Comhairle
Na nOg Youth Council. Sheena has also been elected as the
reserve for Dáil na nOg which will meet in Croke Park
and is also Chairperson for Comhairle Na nOg, Bray Youth Council.

in the Leinster School Round Three Debating Competition.
