MORE SPORTS DAY NEWS (26th May 2008)

Many congratulations to all of the students who participated with great spirit and enthusiasm in all of the events during Sports Day. It was most heartening to see the great crowds participating in Tennis and Soccer at 12 noon.

I congratulate all of the student body on the way in which they fully supported the introduction of the House System for the Athletics Programme on Sports Day – it brought a great atmosphere and competition to the afternoon.

A special word of thanks to all of the staff who put so much work into the preparation and organisation of the day for you. An immeasurable amount of thanks is due to Ms. Sarah Scott, Mr. Victor Drummy, Ms. Ciara Broe, Ms. Eimear O’Regan and Mr. Ken Jolly of the Sports Department for all of the work they put into organising the Sports Day over the last four to five weeks.

Well done to all and definitely this is an event that will stay on the Calendar.
