SPORTS DAY NEWS (26th May 2008)
Many
congratulations to all of the students who participated with
great spirit and enthusiasm in all of the events during Sports
Day. It was most heartening to see the great crowds participating
in Tennis and Soccer at 12 noon.
I
congratulate all of the student body on the way in which they
fully supported the introduction of the House System for the
Athletics Programme on Sports Day – it brought a great
atmosphere and competition to the afternoon.
A
special word of thanks to all of the staff who put so much
work into the preparation and organisation of the day for
you. An immeasurable amount of thanks is due to Ms. Sarah
Scott, Mr. Victor Drummy, Ms. Ciara Broe, Ms. Eimear O’Regan
and Mr. Ken Jolly of the Sports Department for all of the
work they put into organising the Sports Day over the last
four to five weeks.
Well
done to all and definitely this is an event that will stay
on the Calendar.
