College Inter Schools Music Festival - 7th March 2006
Well
done to the following students on their success in the Wesley College Inter Schools
Music Festival at the weekend.
Rebecca Winkworth: Won three
prizes in the Under 17 Irish Song, the Under 17 Popular Song Section and the Under
17 Classical Song Section. Congratulations to Rebecca in coming third in all three
competitions.
Flavia Watson: Came third in the Under 16 Popular
Song section.
Cara Millaney: Cara came third in the Under
17 Popular Son Section. Rugby
7th March
Well done to the Under 13 Rugby Team on their success
in the Sevens Tournament in the Oratory School in England at the weekend.
Many thanks to Mr. Ken Jolly, Mr. Rory O’Connor and Mr. Dermot Mulholland for
organising and facilitating this event. Hockey
7th March
Well done to the Senior 1sts, Senior 2nds and Junior
1sts & Junior 2nds teams for their four wins last Wednesday against St. Columba’s
College. This is the first time this year that all hockey teams representing the
school on any one day won. Well done to all involved. Senior

St.
Gerard’s 26 – Pres. Bray 22 Congratulations and well done
to the Senior Cup Squad for providing everybody with a feast of rugby yesterday
on Wednesday here in St. Gerard’s. In my opinion, this was their best performance
of the year and highlights the true ability within the squad.
Next Wednesday the 8th March sees our Plate Semi final against Castleknock SCT
at home. We look forward to the challenge ahead. Well done.
