Congratulations to the Junior and Senior Cup Teams

Well done to the Senior Cup Team on their excellent 8-0 win over Blackrock College Senior Team on Wednesday October 25th. The win shows the spirit in the squad and with the quality training the work is showing dividends.

Well done to the Junior Cup Team on a truly spirited victory against an unbeaten Kilkenny College in the Junior League on Wednesday October 25th. This 8-7 victory must be a turning point for the squad and it is imperative that all involved in the team build on this success.


University Entrance Scholarships

Congratulations to Alice Brennan on receiving an Entrance Scholarship in U.C.D.

Congratulations to Lisa de Jong and Avril Burgess on receiving Exhibition Awards to Trinity College.

This reflects most positively on the academic programme in the school.


St. Gerard's Day - Sugarloaf Race

To date, €20,000 has been raised by the students of the Junior and Senior Schools through the sponsorship of the Sugarloaf Race St. Gerard’s Day UNICEF Appeal.


Public Speaking

Congratulations to Eabha MacMahon (4th Year) who has been chosen by the Rotary Club to go through to the next round of the Public Speaking Competition. Also highly commended were Claire Sinnott, Philip McCann and Amy Farrar of 4th Year.

Many thanks to Ms. Deirdre Brady for facilitating the event in the school.


Debating

Congratulations to Dearbhail O’Crowley (5th Year) on her selection for the Leinster Schools Debating Team. Dearbhail is currently going through the selection process for the Irish Debating team and we wish her every success in her endeavours.


Díospóireachtaí – Gael Linn

Many congratulations to the Senior Irish Debating Team of Connie O’Brien, Lindsay McGinn and Rebecca Winkworth on their success in the first round of the Gael Linn Inter School Debating competition last night in Mount Anville against Mount Anville and Alexandra College.

We wish them every success in the future and many thanks to Ms. Ciara Ní Mhairtín for her support in facilitating the event.
