St.
Gerard’s Day
Well
done to all of the students who competed in the St. Gerard’s
Day Sugarloaf Race on Monday 16th October. It was a great
success and a particular word of congratulations to all of
the students who fully completed the course.
The
Mass, based on the theme of Justice, celebrated by Father
Ben Mulligan was a very inspiring occasion. Father Mulligan
asked us to be open to the plight of the oppressed and to
make efforts on their behalf.
To
date in the Senior School and the Junior School the sum of
€19,319.00
has been raised for the St. Gerard’s UNICEF Build a
School for Africa Appeal.
I
am particularly grateful all of the students who made such
a wonderful effort to raise funds on behalf of such a worthwhile
cause.

Geraghty,
HEADMASTER.

GERARD’S SHOW JUMPING COMPETITION
SATURDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER 2006
Many
congratulations to all of the students and parents involved
in the inaugural St. Gerard’s Show Jumping event last
Saturday.
It
was extremely well organised with a very large turnout of
other schools throughout Leinster.
Many
congratulations to the St. Gerard’s Green team and the
St Gerard’s Blue team who came 1st and 2nd respectively
in the event. This augurs well for the future of Show Jumping
in the school and I believe this will be the first of many
St. Gerard’s equestrian events.
Well
done to all involved and every success to the show jumping
teams in all your competitions this year.
