Mass to Celebrate the Opening of the School Year

A sincere word of thanks to the whole school community who contributed, in any way, to ensuring the celebrating of the Eucharist to mark the opening of the school year.

The theme of New Beginnings was reflected throughout our Mass.

I wish to thank Fr. John O’Connor for his challenging Homily where he encouraged each and everyone, through the words of the Gospel, to open our hearts to all around us.

The message from the Readings and the Gospel was to strengthen the ideal of the school as a community.

Fr. John reminded us of the strength of a community and the value and contributions that everyone who belongs to the community of St. Gerard’s School give to ensuring its success.
