BT Young Scientist Exhibition 2016

Congratulations to Joshua Dargan Hayes (Transition Year) who received the highly commended award for his project “Connect Shade: Development of a smart, portable, solar powered, USB charging shading device”. Joshua also won a special sponsored award from Alcatel Lucent for combining ICT with stainability.

I also acknowledge Evelyn Clinton’s  (Transition Year) fine project on “Understanding the form of data input people gravitate towards and the implications it has on future technological evolutions” which earned many plaudits from both judges and visitors alike.

I thank my colleagues Mr Reidy and Ms Aylmer for the encouragement and support of the students. Many thanks also to the 1st year and the Transition Year students for visiting the RDS BT Young Scientist Exhibition on Thursday and Friday last.
