ST GERARD’S WELL-BEING WEEK: 30th September – 7th October 2016
Mental health and well-being are linked to developing a sense of connectedness to school to enable young people experience success, and to develop their social competencies and resilience to face the challenges of everyday living. To promote Well-being in school we have organised the a range of lectures and workshop activities.
Friday 30th September
Wayne Denner “ Reputation and Well-being Online” presentations to 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Years
Tuesday 4th October
BODYWHYS presentation to 5th and 6th Years
Wednesday 5th October
BODYWHYS presentation to 3rd and 4th Years
Thursday 6th October
AWARE “Beat The Blues” workshops for 4th Years (Group 1)
Gerry Duffy motivational presentation to 4th, 5th and 6th Years
Friday 7th October
AWARE “Beat The Blues” workshops for 4th Years (Groups 2 & 3)
Also during the week the Sports Department will be running fun activities such as 7 a-side tag rugby league for all 1st and 2nd Years, where all students will be able to participate. P.E classes will focus on fun and participation. SPHE classes will explore the topic of Well-Being for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Years.
