Our Community
Dining Hall & Catering

Menus are rotated on a four week basis, which means students have a chance to try out a range of foods. Our ‘Theme Days’ provide our students with the opportunity to savour dishes from around the world. We also have a self-help salad bar and a selection of filled rolls and wraps using fresh ingredients. Our objective is to have a healthy and happy student body. Children need to eat a balanced diet including carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, fats and minerals every day. At St. Gerard’s we ensure that the meals we provide for your child are well balanced and nutritious. We aim to ensure that your child’s dietary requirements are healthy, balanced and well catered for.

We continue to work closely with teachers, sports staff and Student Council in the continuous development of the Catering Department in order to meet the needs of our customers. Not only do we need to satisfy the essential factors such as nutrition, quality and value for money, but also have an in-depth understanding of what our customers actually need and enjoy. Good communication is an integral part of our business model and we believe that it is important to involve our students, where possible, in the decision making process. Menus include a host of international, regional and ethnic choices, not forgetting of course, our traditional favourites.

The daily choices on our menus guarantee there will always be something on the menu your child will enjoy. A nutritious and balanced diet will help your child concentrate during lessons and replenish their energy levels. We now have allergen information available for all of our menus. The Catering Department is always looking to improve the service we provide and any suggestions and comments you have will always be gratefully received.
