Model United Nations

In this Section

The students at St. Gerard’s School are afforded the opportunity to participate in a huge variety of extra-curricular programmes and activities. The school’s Model United Nations programme is hugely popular every year. Students attend a number of conferences in Ireland including: Terenure College MUN (TERMUN), Rathdown School MUN (RADMUN), Wesley College MUN (WCDMUN) and St. Andrew’s College International MUN (SAIMUN).

We also prepare a team for the prestigious Royal Russell MUN in London where students are fortunate to participate in a conference with students from countries across the world. By participating in Model United Nations, students establish and develop excellent research, writing, drafting, communication and critical thinking skills. Not only is the experience an enjoyable one for the students, it is also invaluable in helping students to develop into innovative, dynamic and opinionated individuals. Our success In Model United Nations to date is indicative of the enthusiasm the students share for this worthwhile programme.
