Rugby in St Gerard’s Junior school is an integral part of life. It is an essential element embedded into life in the Junior School. Rugby is played twice a week as well as matches on a Saturday.
The high level of coaching and the dedication shown by all pupils is instrumental in the holistic development of the boys in St. Gerard’s. The Privilege of being able to play and develop with you classmates from Std. 1 to Std. 6 is a hugely rewarding to the boys in St. Gerard’s.
The Boys enjoy playing challenge matches against other schools from Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare. The Std 6 boys also take part in the ‘Anglo Irish Cup’ which is played every November against our friends from Cheadle Hulme, Manchester. This is always a very competitive match and great friendships are made amongst the boys.
