Sport in St. Gerard’s School plays a major role in the holistic development of each pupil.

At St. Gerard’s School our hockey programme has grown from strength to strength. Currently we field 12 teams from 1- 6th year and play in the Leinster League.

Rugby is the main sport for boys in St.Gerard’s. All boys begin their school year together at under 14 level with fitness and ball handling drills.

Here in St. Gerard’s School tennis plays an important role in the school’s sports programme. Starting in September we have tennis coaching available, with a qualified Tennis Ireland Coach, to all students.

St Gerard's School has a long tradition of sporting excellence with all Ireland medalists over the years and several of whom have gone on to represent their country.

Inter-schools show jumping is, as the name suggests, a show jumping competition between schools that runs throughout the school year.

Athletics is one of the main sports for boys and girls in the summer term, it is open to all, regardless of their age, previous experience or ability.
